Why should children do TaeKwon Do?
The main priority for parents is that their child is safe. To be able to protect themselves when they are away from the safety of their homes (at school, on the street, out having fun). Studying TaeKwon Do with the correctly qualified instructor can help them achieve this goal.
Apart from the techniques used for self-defense and attacking, the children are taught using hypothectical attacks (harassment, physical attacks) so that they are in a position to be aware of impending danger and learn to avoid it.
Equally important is to cultivate basic qualities to cope with the extremely stressful conditions of today's reality (any previous training program, mental and physical fatigue, high levels of anxiety in adolescence). In TKD the child acquires self-confidence, sociability, self-control and endurance even in the early stages of training.
With such skills they are able to cultivate relationships easily and thus be popular in peer groups and learn to get by without the constant need for support and supervision of their parents. In short, they learn to stand firmly on their own two feet.
A prerequisite for the above is the fitness achieved through exercise.
The TKD is the most complete, form of exercise for musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory system, without injury. By using only weights we strengthen without straining muscles and joints, while helping to improve performance in other sports.
TaeKwon Do can be untaken by people of all ages and no special requirements exist for the participant. It can be undertaken by young and mature people of all fitness levels.
